The forensic scene that I chose from the movie Rear Window was, when Jefferies calls the cops after he thinks he saw a murder in the appartment across from him from looking out his window. The crime scene investigation happens when the cops come and investigate the house. In Rear Window, since Jefferies leg is broken cant leave his house so he looks out the window all day with his binnocolurs, and from what he saw he makes sense that he has a murderer living across from him. I feel from my perspective Jefferies is dominent being he is the main character, and dominates the movie since every scene is from his room, and is involving him. The movie can be both subversive and submissive being that Jefferies is willing to submit what he saw and knows what he saw was true being it would make him submissive to the fact, and he is the one who is advocating in the regarding information that he is giving to the police about his daily viewings.
For the scene I chose, i really couldnt find any forensic scenes from too many T.V. shows on the web even though many choices I have searched for came back with no result. Even though I didnt use a T.V. show I used a movie that involves a forensic detective by the name of Dick Tracy. I chose him becasue his shows were based on his forensic findings to answers of murders, and mysteries. Other movies besides Dick Tracy that would fit well with this assignment would be, The Bone Collector, and Silence of the lambs, and for T.V. shows CSI, Law and Order, and Criminal Minds. I wanted to use a scene from the movie Disterbia, being Rear Window is where Disterbia got it’s idea from with the same plot line, and almost like scenes but unfortuntly I couldnt find one. With my example now about Dick Tracy he is the main character who does his investigation of each tradgey. Being a male investigator, he is the dominet character (like Jefferies) who gets the women, who in the end turns out saving. Same with Jefferies Dick Tracy is both submirsive, and subversive being his is the one who is reporting what he sees to a higher authority over him or just like Tracy does takes care of the situation himself.
